Welcome to the 'I Want Online Now!' newsletter. I will try to avoid any hype, whatsoever. If any of you notice me starting to sound like one of those so-called gurus out there, please let me know. I would prefer you do it nicely, of course.

This newsletter contains ongoing lessons and articles about running an online business. Please feel f^ree to send in any suggestions you have, i.e., lessons you've learned the hard way since you've been online. Maybe between us all, we can help others make the move to the internet without losing everything they own.

This is a weekly newsletter, published on Mondays. You will receive a classified ad issue each week, usually on Fridays. There will also be solo ads when they come in. Both the classified ads issue and the solo ads have f^ree ad contests. One of the solo ads each week will contain an ad code. The first person to submit the ad code and their ad to me will receive a f^ree top sponsor ad on the second page of the newsletter. Submit the ad code and 7 line, 65 character-per-line, ad to admin@i-want-online-now.com. The ad code looks like 'Ad Code: XXXX'.

The classifieds section will include a different ad code, formatted the same way. The first 5 people to send in this ad code will receive a f^ree classified ad in the Winners Circle. The ad for this contest should be no more than 5 lines, 65 characters-per-line. Remember, if your ads are longer, I will shorten them, but you may not like how I do it!

I finished setting up my own autoresponder. Now I just need to test it out a bit before I start moving either of the newsletters.

I'm almost ready to release the fee-based Coping Today Newsletter. Once that's out, which should be sometime this week, I'll be able to focus on the members area for 'I Want Online Now!'. Some more ideas for goodies to add to the members area came to mind while I was working on the newsletters today.

I have to attend a new agent training class tomorrow for my real estate career. I have no idea how long it will last. I will probably have to go into the office, too, as long as I'm there. In all likelihood, it probably means the beginning of going in every day for awhile, until I start to get somewhere. Of course, that means less time to spend on the newsletters and websites. Darn!

Writing a Newsletter (Part 4)

How often should you send your newsletter? I advise at least bi-weekly, but no more than once a week. Your readers are apt to forget about you if you only send out your newsletter monthly. If you send it more than once a week, you may lose readers because they don't have time to read all the newsletters. Also, you will have a lot more work! I spend a couple of hours every day importing new subscribers and removing bad addresses or deleting subscribers who have requested to be removed. I spend a full day writing the newsletters. I spend several hours a week modifying the websites, and more time looking for advertising. I would really feel overwhelmed if I had to come up with material for another issue of the newsletter each week!

Incidentally, Ian Noakes released VisionEdition last week. While I am a member, I'm not going to rush into it. It turns out that you will have to pay each time you send your newsletter out. You can get some credits toward paying for the broadcast by allowing them to put a banner in your newsletter. I think it's a great idea, but the cost may be prohibitive. I haven't decided yet. If it were the only way I was sending out my newsletter, it would probably be worth it; although I would have to calculate how much it would cost me to send to my entire list. However, paying to send out the newsletter from VisionEdition along with paying for the autoresponder I currently use is outside my budget. You can also pay for subscribers through the VisionEdition directory. Now, I have bought many subscribers through OptinCity and received many free subscribers through EzineKing, so I don't have any problem with their services. Also, buying subscribers from a directory that is tied into the newsletter service is nice. It just appears to be one of those high-end services that many of us can't afford.

Next week, we'll go into how to send out your newsletter. After that, the most important section, where to get subscribers!
