Email Safelists

Safelists are a form of Email Advertising. Their primary claim to fame is that everyone that you get to email has AGREED as part of the terms of their joining - to receive emails from you!

It's basically a website that people JOIN so they can email to the others that have joined which is how it gets its name of being a Safe List!

And there are literally Thousands of them out there!

Some of the better ones let you email to a group of other Safelists which increases your audience but I want you to remember that you'll be receiving ALOT of email from everyone else!

Is it effective!

Well yes and no!
Yes because many who do use safelists do actually read their emails.
No because those who are seasoned in safelist usage dont read any of them and just dump them!

I do a bit of both - One thing I do find is that people do not use safelists effectively!

By that I mean - they might join a few or one that submits to a whole bunch for you and they just advertise junk!

Other people use them very effectively - Safelists are a very interesting thing to observe - you can learn alot from reading emails from safelists - some are very well written and you think - that's really well written - so much so in fact I go and visit their website - JOB DONE - that's what they are meant to do! I personally like them!

A Strategy!

A strategy ,and I call it that because its not the only one, is to have your own website that you send people to. You'll have a form on there so they can leave you their details if they are interested in what you are doing! Then you can email them directly yourself and they are more prone to read those as they made the effort to give you their information.

So to be effective, you should use safelists to get people to join your list. This way you get people that are interested in what you are doing! This is very very important!
